The Challenge

Arla’s Human Resource (HR) department contacted Kernel when they needed a coherent style in their communication material, consisting of brochures, pamphlets, questionnaires etc. The department was looking for a style that adequately expressed their role in the organization and renewed the visual and linguistic style and tone of the material.

Strategy and Activation

Arla’s Human Resource department is renowned for their professional and progressive approach to the task of looking after the people in the global dairy company. Kernel started the journey towards a coherent corporate expression with a strategic analysis of the role the department played in the organization. We defined the persona of the department and formulated the guidelines that would determine the style and tone of its communication. The key was to focus on an open, dialogical and equal tone in both language and visual identity.

Execution and Results

Kernel created a visual identity for Arla’s Human Resource department that has a welcoming touch while keeping a clean and professional look. Subsequently we developed a series of print and digital materials, tools and models for the ongoing activities of Arla’s Human Resource department. The flexibility of the visual identity provides longevity, and the style and tone of the material has won great support among Arla HR employees.
